We made it, guys! We have lived through all of the doomsday predictions...at least that I'm aware of! So...who wants to make some new ones with me to freak people out with in a couple hundred years? Eh??
So, to start this year off I made myself do a little 2012 retrospective list, and it turns out I got to do kind of a lot of things last year. A few professional highlights included having my first feature film come out on DVD (Breaking Wind, Lionsgate!), and doing 2 comedy short segments on "Jimmy Kimmel, Live!". I booked my first horror film (which was also my first time playing a murderer!), and had an indie feature I'm in (Here Build Your Homes) go to it's first festival and win it's first award (Portland Independent Film Festival, Best Director). Here Build Your Homes also had it's friends and family screening here in LA, which I got to take my Mom to - that was lovely. Annnnd I got to work on "Castle"! I completed Clinic at Lesly Kahn, where I also took HotHouse Improv classes. I found my coach, whom I adore. Got hooked up with a great new commercial agency (yay LA Talent!).
It was actually a pretty busy year!
Things were good personally too, but this blog isn't about that. That's what facebook is for. Duh.
So thanks for being awesome, 2012. And thanks to all the people who made it that way.
2013 has started with a bang! I got to finish filming my episode of "Castle", which was just too much fun. Working is my favorite thing ever. AND it's pilot season! I got into a new scene study class. AND I'm trying to sing in public once a week...just to get over the nerves and get back into the swing of singing for people again (used to do it all the time - was a musical theater kid and a music major in college). So it's busy busy time. And I like that.
Happy 2013, people!
