Side bar: Do you know who we have to thank for Thanksgiving? In part, President Lincoln, who officially made it a national holiday on October 3, 1863. BUT MOSTLY, we must thank a woman named Sarah Josepha Hale. She is the woman who wrote the poem "Mary Had A Little Lamb." She also lobbied 5 presidents over 17 years to make Thanksgiving a national holiday.
That is commitment.
Well, I like food, and I like my family. So THANKS, Sarah Josepha Hale.
